Team

Rodney Nguyen, as Founder & CE0, has earned a B.S in Computer Science from UCSD but his passion lies in Real Estate and being an entrepreneur. At one time, he managed 30+ tenants/roommates and operated 3 rental properties in the Inland Empire while working a full-time job as a programmer in San Diego. He used myriad other services including Craigslist, but it was always painful finding a quality tenant or roommate to share his home. He combined love, passion and focus, then began coding Roomplug from the ground up to help out his local community.
Yang Wang, Software Engineer, studying M.S. in Information System Management from Carnegie Mellon. She tackles problems with a methodical approach. Unlike, her fellow conrades, she maps out the situation using Google GPS to find a clear path from point A to point B. In which she believes is a straight line, but in some test cases, there are uncertainty yet still to be discover.
Lars Tijhuis, Software Engineer, from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. A budding Software Development Ninja, along with his buddy Dirk, they team up to battle and slash out all the bugs. He points out the pesky and ugly creatures hidden behind the dark corners inside the code. Sadly, there is no escape for these little annoyances because they are destroyed! No Raid Needed.
Dirk Guijt, Software Engineer, from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. He is confident and take on various coding challenges as if he's running a hackathon himself. We consider him as earning rank as our Software Development Ninja. He slices through complex codes with his razor sharp skills and simplify order by laying out a solid plan. Then, he and Lars will ATTACK!

Rodney loves his LA Lakers, San Diego Chargers, real estate, poker, chess, reading, dancing, and traveling. If you don't find him coding behind a computer screen, he would rather be socializing with all different types of people or catching waves at the beach.

Yang is a student of life. She enjoys learning our American culture that is totally unique to her Chinese heritage. Her quiet zeal and inquisitive nature, she's always asking questions, what is this? When she tries different food items on the menu. She also participated and volunteered in 3 events in the 2008 Beijing Olympics: archery, hockey, and tennis.

Lars is an enthusiastic person with great energy. You don't need a shot of red bull when he's in the room. Him and Dirk are great friends and love futbol, or what we call soccer here in America. He loves to point out bad codes like he does in this picture.

Dirk hates fish, seafood, or anything that comes from the sea. This is ironic because he was raised in a fishing town in the Netherlands and behind him is the Pacific ocean. He loves to play futbol and challenges the team that he alone will beat them. He said in his Dutch accent, "I was playing futbol since the age of 5. I will beat you!" Which sounds like the Russian character in Rocky Bolboa IV.
